Get to know Brian Tyler
Brian Tyler has proudly called San Tan Valley home for the past 17 years. He and his wife of 22 years are raising their four children here, putting down roots and investing in the community they love.
With over 20 years of utility experience, most of it working with water utilities in municipal government, Brian brings real, hands-on knowledge of how towns operate, what works, and what doesn’t. He currently serves on the San Tan Valley Town Council and has been involved since the town’s inauguration.
Brian’s decision to run for Town Council began as a parent. While coaching youth football and baseball and working with youth organizations through local churches, he saw firsthand how difficult it was for San Tan Valley families to find places for kids to practice and play—often having to travel out of town due to a lack of local facilities. That experience opened his eyes to larger issues facing the community and the need for local representation and long-term planning.
Brian believes San Tan Valley is at a critical moment. As the town builds the foundation of its municipal government, he is focused on fiscal responsibility, transparency, and smart growth that reflects the wishes of residents, not outside developers. He is committed to helping shape a clear community identity that preserves San Tan Valley’s unique balance of family-friendly neighborhoods, rural Arizona character, and access to city amenities.
Brian considers himself a regular, middle-class working resident who simply wants to serve his community. He is dedicated to listening to residents, being accessible, and working alongside families to build a strong, sustainable future for San Tan Valley.
