Get to know Daren Schnepf

Daren Schnepf currently serves as the Mayor of San Tan Valley with upwards of 100,000 residents. He is a long time resident of San Tan Valley having lived in the area for over twenty two years not including the first few years of his life on his family’s farm. His family roots date back to 1941 in the areas of San Tan Valley and Queen Creek, Arizona.

As a husband and father of five, he helped raise his children in San Tan Valley seeing all of them graduate high school from the local school system. As a resident of San Tan Valley, he has seen the area grow exponentially realizing the need for more local direction. As a manager in a local private water utility company, H2O, Inc., he helped lead the company’s growth up to ten thousand meter connections by the time it was sold. He served on a prior San Tan Valley incorporation effort and as a citizen provided input for the San Tan Valley Special Area Plan that Pinal County developed to help guide the growth of the unincorporated area known as San Tan Valley.

He additionally served on the Pinal County Citizen’s Advisory Committee and currently serves on the Pinal County Planning and Zoning Commission. Daren holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Daren is committed to the area he lives in where residents can realize the opportunity to live, work, and play.
